Inspiring & Equipping Parishes in the New Evangelization to form disciples of Our Lord Jesus Christ, through the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.

Julianne StanzA welcome message from Julianne Stanz, Director of New EvangelizationWelcome to the Department of New Evangelization!

As we say in my native Ireland "Cead Mile Failte Romhat" - A hundred thousand welcomes.

The New Evangelization calls each of us to deepen our own faith, to believe in the Gospel message, to seek opportunities to grow in faith and to go forth to proclaim the Gospel with courage and joy. The New Evangelization calls us ever deeper into a life of holiness so that we can truly be engaged in our faith and our communities in order to be fully alive in Christ.

The Department of New Evangelization was created to align more closely with the Diocesan Pastoral Plan which Bishop Ricken promulgated on June 12, 2011 -- the Solemnity of Pentecost. The plan entitled "Parishes: Called to be Holy, Fully Engaged, Fully Alive" guides the work of the Diocese in supporting parishes so they can better carry out the mission of the church of bringing the Gospel to the world.

If you are a parish leader looking for resources, someone who has actively practiced their faith for some time or an individual seeking answers about Jesus Christ or the Catholic Church, I invite you to browse the pages of this site and reach out to me or to one of the members of our New Evangelization team. We are here to support and strengthen all individuals in their life of faith, wherever they may be in that journey.

If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me. I can be reached at 920-272-8270 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

New Evangelization Pastoral Plan

Pope Francis has called "for a common commitment to a pastoral plan that recalls the essential and that is well centered on the essential, namely Jesus Christ It is no use to be scattered in so many secondary or superfluous things, but to be concentrated on the fundamental reality, which is the encounter with Christ, with his mercy, with his love, and to love brothers as He loved us." Following Pope Francis' lead, this pastoral ministry plan sets forth goals for the next 5-7 years for the Department of New Evangelization of the Diocese of Green Bay.
