FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GREEN BAY, Wis. (July 24, 2018) – It is with great joy that the Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Green Bay announces the appointment of Tammy Danz as Bishop’s Appeal Director and Janet Wagner as Development Director of the Catholic Foundation, effective July 1, 2018.

“As the Catholic Foundation continues to grow, I am pleased to have Tammy and Janet join the Foundation’s leadership team. I look forward to working closely with them as we look at new and innovative ways to support Catholic education, social services and ministry in northeastern Wisconsin,” said Josh Diedrich, Executive Director of the Catholic Foundation. “Their dedication to the Church and our mission is tremendous.”

Tammy Danz has been with the Catholic Foundation since 2012. In her role as Campaign Specialist, she helped to raise more than $30 million for the Bishop’s Appeal supporting ministries such as individual and family counseling, campus ministry at UW-Green Bay and UW-Oshkosh, diaconate formation, and training for Catholic school leaders to name a few. Through the Seminarian Collection, Danz has helped to raise more than $5 million to assist men who want to be priests with school tuition, room and board, health insurance, and other expenses.

As Bishop’s Appeal Director, Danz will oversee the Bishop’s Appeal, along with other annual giving campaigns, supervise campaign teams, network, create marketing and promotional materials, assist with yearly goal setting, and further establish relationships with parishes, families interested in supporting the Church, and vendors.

“Through my work with the Catholic Foundation, I’ve learned a lot about what it means to walk with and share your faith journey with others. I look forward to working with parishes to help them develop strategies to reach their appeal goals and assist people within their communities,” said Danz. “Another important aspect is sharing with families the impact their gift makes on the lives of thousands of people, whether it’s helping a child learn about their faith, supporting young men on their journey to Priesthood, or providing resources to our retired priests and religious sister and brothers.”

Janet Wagner has been with the Catholic Foundation since 2017 as the Relationship Manager. She brings more than 15 years of development and leadership experience in Catholic organizations. Wagner has participated in strategic planning, annual, major and planned gift solicitation, budgeting, board relations and leading teams. She has ten years of experience working with endowments and foundations including creation of new funds, grant management and scholarship programs. Her commitment to her faith, passion for philanthropy and dedication to the mission of our Diocese make Wagner a great fit for this new position.

As Development Director, Wagner will provide leadership and direction on Catholic Foundation development efforts to support the ministries of the Diocese of Green Bay and affiliated Catholic organizations. She will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with the parishes, schools, and families within our Diocese to create legacies to support the church for years to come. Wagner will also serve as backup to the Executive Director of the Catholic Foundation.P.O. Box 22128 Green Bay, WI 54305-2128 920-437-7531 Fax: 920-437-0694 www.catholicfoundationgb.org

“I am thrilled to be working for the church to grow missionary disciples through the work of the Catholic Foundation. We are blessed by the generosity of so many families and the dedication of our clergy. I look forward to getting to know more people in our Diocese, sharing my faith, and growing support for our parishes, Catholic schools, and ministries,” said Wagner.

For more than 20 years, the Catholic Foundation has been impacting lives within the 16 counties of

northeastern Wisconsin which make up the Diocese of Green Bay. During this time, the Foundation has grown
