Leonrldspeaker Janssen to Speak at Luncheon

Leon Janssen grew up on the family dairy farm of his great-grandparents in northeastern Wisconsin, where he developed a deep respect for the lives led by those living in his rural crossroads community.

Janssen graduated from UW-Madison with degrees in Agricultural and Mechanical Engineering. After three years as an officer in the U.S. Army, he joined General Electric in 1967 where he worked in leadership roles in the Aerospace and Healthcare businesses. Following his retirement from GE in 2004 after 37 years, Leon continued in a part-time consulting role for 11 years, while creating Meadow Brook Farm Publishing, LLC, in part, to gather and share stories of rural life in Wisconsin.

In 2001, Leon bought back the family farmstead and started a tradition of annual Machine Shed Reunions for neighbors and former neighbors to honor those who came before them in creating their nurturing and inspiring farm community
