Welcome to the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay Catholic Committee on Scouting
We serve the Catholic Scouting community -- and those of all faiths -- in Northeastern Wisconsin. We do this by providing information, support, and training to help Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of all ages earn their Scouting Religious Emblems.
Scouting is an effective way to help Catholic youths do their duty to God and to their country. Scouting builds character and teaches devotion to God in an environment that provides wholesome fun under the guidance of strong adult role models. Scouting programs provide a wonderful channel to involve youth in the life of Catholic parishes.
What Scouting Does
Scouting helps young people:
- grow into personal maturity and social responsibility
- learn to assume their role in life with a high degree of commitment
- care for those who are less fortunate
- develop a strong desire to build a culture of goodwill, respect for the environment, and acceptance of duties.

Scout Sunday (BSA)

Our Lady of Champion Activity Patch for Youth and Adults
In 2017, the Catholic Committee on Scouting for the Diocese of Green Bay established the Our Lady of Good Help Activity Patch. Since then, the patch has been adopted by the National Catholic Committee on Scouting as part of its Marian series of activity patches. The requirements and activities for the patch focus on Mary’s apparition in Wisconsin, including how and why the Church has honored Mary for more than 2000 years.
Requirements to earn the patch are grade-specific. Any knowledgeable parent, Scout leader, group leader, priest, religious or catechist who meets the standard Scouting and Diocesan safe environment requirements may oversee this activity.
This is not a religious emblem and Scouts will not receive a religious knot for earning this activity patch. Requirements for earning the patch as well as ordering information can be found at: https://www.nccs-bsa.org/index.php/religious-activities/marian-series.
