In 2014, the Diocese of Green Bay launched a process into the new evangelization called “Disciples on the Way”. The goal of “Disciples on the Way” is the renewal of each person and in turn, our parishes through discovering Jesus, following Jesus, worshipping Jesus and sharing Jesus.
In “Disciples on the Way”, Bishop Ricken remarks that “Pope Francis is urging all of us to reach out; to be deeply rooted in prayer by developing an intimate friendship with Jesus Christ. He asks us to share the fruits of the spiritual intimacy we have with Jesus with everyone in our lives, so others see the joy of Christ shining forth in us. Joy comes from living a life fully rooted in Christ so that ‘it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me, the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me’ (Galatians 2:20).”
Share Jesus
Formed, inspired and equipped to share the Gospel through the intentional witness of our lives to family, friends and the wider community, we go out to share Jesus with others. There is no better time than now, to be a missionary people and a missionary Church centered on discovering, following, worshipping and sharing Jesus and his body, the Catholic Church with others. With the love of Jesus in our hearts, we go out to “make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19) through the witness of our lives and with the fire of the Holy Spirit within us.
Entrust - Disciples on Mission Retreat
During this intensive experience, attendees will receive the vision, formation, and practical knowledge in how to carry out the process of spiritual multiplication. Thanks to the generosity of the Bishop’s Appeal, this retreat is free of charge for staff, volunteers, and parishioners within the Diocese of Green Bay.
